Humanitarian Surge Platform (GEHSP) career course options
This course is for staff who will be deployed in one of three career categories.
Is this course for me? Our inductions are in depth and
designed to ensure a strong foundation for a successful and rewarding career
with Save the Children. We aim to have quality inductions that are consistent
and up to date. We also aim to ensure that the induction is accessible to both
full time employees as well as Alumni Roster members on consulting agreements who
deploy on behalf of the GEHSP across Save the Children.
How will I benefit from this course? On completion of this course you will:
To develop with a quality, consolidated, consistent and accessible GEHSP Induction that is effective
in familiarising staff on Save the Children (both policies and operations); their
role within the organisation; in addition to the workings of the GEHSP.
- For roster members, this induction will be mirrored on Kaya to enable access for roster members before their first
deployment. This
needs to be a page exclusive to SCI GEHSP and not a public page.
- Tracking and record keeping of this induction training (crucial) to ensure that all individuals
who deploy via the GEHSP are compliant and well versed in SCI policies.
- For all Save the Children employees this induction will be
hosted on LMS, where
completion can be monitored.
How long will it take? This course should take you around 4 hours to complete.
How much does it cost? This course is free!
Will I get a certificate at the end? Yes - you will be able to download a certificate once you have have completed all of the modules within the course.
