Is this course for me?
Many aid workers can experience anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression and burnout. As a result, even if you are committed and experienced, you can become unable to function at your best, meaning that crisis-affected people may not be receiving the assistance and protection that they need.

Investing in humanitarian staff wellbeing and resilience has therefore become a necessity.

The course has two stream:

    • Frontline Workers

The Frontline Workers stream provides innovative, accessible information to humanitarian workers across the globe. The course represents a shift from treatment to prevention, is applicable across all sizes of organisations, and emphasises that wellbeing is a joint responsibility of both the individual and the organisation.

The course will build your wellbeing capability and provide skills for managing stress and increasing resilience. The course includes a toolkit to support you as well as a facilitation guide.

    • Managers

As a Manager, it’s important to be aware of the issues your team is facing as well as dealing with organisational challenges such as high workloads, limited resources, and managing staff care after a critical incident. The learning will be supported by links to best practices and examples of organisational protocols.
