Is this course for me?

This course is primarily designed for child protection and health practitioners working in humanitarian settings impacted by infectious disease outbreaks. The course may also be of interest to members of the social service workforce, as well as by humanitarian personnel across sectors who may interact with children as part of outbreak preparedness, response, and recovery activities.

How will I benefit from this course?

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
  • Identify common forms of harm to children, and their root causes, that are typical during outbreaks in humanitarian settings 
  • Explain six key actions to prevent harm to children during infectious disease outbreaks in humanitarian settings
