This course is for local, national, and international humanitarian staff involved in preparing for and taking charge of in-country operational
programmes in humanitarian responses. This course is for individuals who wish to learn more about safety and security in humanitarian settings, within the first 1-2 weeks of deployment and ongoing improvement.
How will I benefit from this course?
This course explores initial safety measures during the first 1-2 weeks of deployment such as security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contingency plans. It also looks at what's needed to monitor the situation and look for ongoing security improvements once operations are running securely.
How long will it take? Approximately 60 minutes. You can exit at any time and when you return, the module will take you to where you left off.
Will I earn a digital badge or certificate?
FIELD awards digital badges, not certificates. When successfully complete FIELD modules and provide feedback on your learning experience you'll be rewarded a digital badge!
