The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) in Emergencies module is a stand alone module linked to HOP Fundamentals, an open-access, self-paced catalogue of quality assured and interactive learning modules, curated by partner providers or created by Save the Children.
 
Fundamentals has three levels and is aimed at people beginning their career in the humanitarian sector or for those transitioning from the development sector. It is also aimed at individuals who have never received formal training on the essentials of humanitarian action, or for those wishing to ‘refresh’ their knowledge. 

Fundamentals has been carefully designed to provide a streamlined learning journey which covers the key topics related to the delivery of quality emergency responses.

How will I benefit from this module?


The aim of this training is to give individuals who wish to gain an understanding of the key principles of MEAL in Emergency Contexts. In this module, you will see the value of using MEAL tools and procedures during an emergency and to develop your skills at a basic level to, gather relevant evidence for decision-making, be more accountable to the affected population  and continuously learn and adapt.
