On 12 April 2016, CaLP’s Global Learning and Membership Launch Event marked the beginning of a new era for CaLP as the most representative network of actors engaged in CTP – a modality with the power to transform the humanitarian system. The positioning of the launch event in close proximity to the first ever World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) made it a valuable opportunity to build a shared vision of a future on which this transformative power of CTP can be maximised.

During the event, attendees were given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the following question: "What would the humanitarian sector need to change so that, when conditions are conducive, cash is considered as a default modality for response?"
