HPass and Digital Badges

What is a digital badge?

It's a whole new way to recognize learning and achievement. Think of it as a digital rather than a paper certificate. Something that you can display in a variety of ways online. Digital badges earned through Kaya are displayed via a platform called HPass – you can set up a myHPass profile and display multiple badges. You can also share badges via social media or include a link to them from your CV.

What do I do with my digital badge?

You'll be guided to accept this badge on myHPass, a free badge storage and display service for humanitarians like you. If it's your first badge, you can create a new account. Find out more at my.hpass.org.You can also store this badge on other services that support Open Badges.

Share your badge on myHPass!

First, we encourage you to make your badge public. Once you have logged in to myHPass, go to the ‘Badges’ tab > select badge > go to the ‘Settings’ tab > click ‘Visible in Passport and can be publicly shared’ and save.

Now you can share your badge to social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Click on the icons and see how it works!

You can build up a portfolio of multiple badges on myHPass, and share it as a link from your CV.
