Welcome to IRC Fundamentals of Safeguarding.

This self-directed course helps the IRC orient new colleagues as well as refresh all staff’s knowledge on our commitment to safeguarding our Clients and each other. It will present core information, work through case studies that review common safeguarding misconduct, and integrate knowledge checks along the way.

	Is this course for me?
	This course is required for all IRC Persons (i.e., employees, interns, incentive workers, volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors). It is also made available to IRC Associates (i.e., partners, sub-grantees, vendors, consultants, independent contractors, visitors, donors, and IRC Ambassadors).
	How will I benefit from this course?
	On completion of this course, you will be able to: Articulate the IRC’s safeguarding commitments. Identify safeguarding responsibilities that apply to everyone working for or associated with the IRC. Adhere to behaviors in your day-to-day work that prevent safeguarding harm against Clients and colleagues.
	How long will it take?
	This course should take you around 60 minutes to complete.

	Will I get a certificate at the end?
	Yes - you will be able to download a certificate once you have have completed all of the modules, passed the final assessment, and submitted the feedback form.
