This course is for anyone involved in NGOs or local organizations who engage in activities related to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and seek a solid understanding to perform their roles effectively. It provides a sound understanding of your responsibilities and accountability related to mental health and psychosocial support.

How will I benefit from this course?
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Gain knowledge of key concepts, terminology, and the continuum of care within MHPSS, including the layers of the IASC MHPSS Pyramid of Intervention.
  • Emphasize the importance of coordinating MHPSS services across sectors, applying inclusive approaches, and integrating Psychological First Aid (PFA) methods.
  • Recognize and address burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue, fostering individual responsibility and accountability for the growth and development of quality MHPSS programming.
