Welcome to the Humanitarian Governance Training for Local Decision Makers course. This is DAP's first online course in partnership with the Humanitarian Leadership Academy. This online course aims to increase the governing capacity of Local Chief Executives, Department Heads, and Local Lawmakers in accordance to international humanitarian standards.

	Is this course for me?
	This course is designed for Local Government Units to have a more organized and efficient system in dealing with threats and impacts of man-made disasters or those caused by natural hazards, so as to prevent or minimize suffering especially of the most vulnerable populations.
	How will I benefit from this course?
	On completion of this course you will be able to: Identify relevant global and national principles and standards on humanitarian governance  Apply correctly the basic concepts of hazards, disasters, risks, and resilience Apply global and national principles and standards to local context using appropriate scientific tools and evidence-based techniques
