What will I learn?

Module 1 Introduction to ReachNow

At the end of this Learning Path you will be able to:

  • recognise and reflect on the core purpose and importance of the ReachNow tool to support detection of mental health problems in children and adolescents and promote help-seeking, by relating it to your own practice. 

  • distinguish when to use the ReachNow tool and when not to use it.  


Module 2 Facilitation skills level 1
(optional external module from Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA), meant for trainers with no/limited facilitation skills)
  • identify different preferences for learning and approaches to delivery

  • differentiate the roles facilitating, coaching and mentoring in developing others
  • have an awareness of the principles of a user-centred approach to learning design and development
  • plan and deliver learning


Module 3 (Child) Safeguarding
(War Child module) and/or Safeguarding essentials (external module HLA)
(optional/as long as proof of learning on (child) safeguarding is provided)

  • recall what child safeguarding is and recognize signs of child abuse.
  • identify and respond to child safeguarding concerns and incidents, following the appropriate response mechanism



Module 4 ReachNow training participation 
(optional depending on background MHPSS)
  • experience the end-user training with a high degree of adherence to the session outline, and delivered in a timely manner. 

  • describe the learning objectives of the ReachNow end-user training.


Module 5 ReachNow practice facilitation

  • to facilitate ReachNow sessions with a high degree of adherence to the session outline, in a timely manner, stimulating active participation. 

  • apply lessons learned through peer-to-peer feedback and self-reflection.

This learning path is for trainers of trainers (TOT) of the ReachNow tool.

How much time does it take me?

Time expected for each of the modules; module 1- 2 hours, module 2- 90 minutes, module 3 - 3 hours, module 4 - 2days, module 5 - 1 and a half days.


Will I receive a certificate?

We will be issuing automated badges through HPass for completion of each module soon. If you have done this learning path earlier, do get back later to check if the badges option has been made available and collect your badges.
