This course is designed for health and nutrition program managers, technical advisors, and clinical managers working in humanitarian settings.

How will I benefit from this course?

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
  • Explain how an infectious disease outbreak can impact IYCF practices in humanitarian settings 
  • Describe how organizations can lessen the impacts of outbreaks on recommended IYCF practices through proper preparedness planning 
  • Describe the recommended temporary feeding alternatives that can be used if breastfeeding is interrupted during an outbreak 
  • Summarize how to protect, promote, and support recommended IYCF practices in humanitarian settings during an infectious disease outbreak using a multi-sectoral approach
