This self-guided course has been designed to familiarize staff with the fundamentals of asylum seeker support as well as provide staff with a basic legal orientation. The course is divided into two modules with supplemental resources and practical tools.

Although this course was originally designed for staff working at the Humanitarian Emergency Response & Relief Centers (HERRCs) in New York City, the information presented is applicable to all staff working with asylum seekers in the United States.
