Welcome to Interpersonal Skills for Career Success

Interpersonal skills such as interviewing, public speaking and mentoring others are essential for career success, but are notoriously difficult to acquire due to the need to practice them in order to develop expertise. It is an accepted rule in professional development that 70% of learning happens through on-the-job experience, 20% through social interactions, and only 10% through formal learning experiences.

Therefore, the Humanitarian Leadership Academy has teamed up with Gamoteca to offer courses which enable you not just to learn, but to actually practice these skills with a  colleague or friend!

There are three courses to complete, each enabling you to earn an HPass digital badge. You can also earn a badge for completing all three courses and providing your feedback on the overall experience.  We will use your feedback to improve future courses!

Please note that this is a two-player game that must be played with a colleague or a friend. You do not need to be online at the same time as your course partner - you can complete a task for them to review later and vice versa. You will find instructions on how to invite them to participate once you have joined the course.

So, find a colleague or friend, and get started.....
