Welcome to the Introduction to Health and Safety in the Workplace course. 

This online course is a general introduction to health and safety in the workplace, describing the practical steps you can take to ensure your own health and safety along with that of your colleagues.  

Please note: this course focuses on an office environment. If you work in an environment where special rules apply to good health and safety practice, you should seek additional training on these.

While this course is based on the UK's Health and Safety at Work Act, and the legal requirements of a British workplace, its contents are applicable elsewhere.

	This course is suitable for professionals of every level who want to be aware of the health and safety risks in an office environment.
	How will I benefit from this course?
	On completion of this course you will: Describe the common risks and hazards associated with the working environment and how to avoid them Understand the main points of good health and safety practice Understand how every employee has a personal duty of care to him/herself and colleagues.
	How long will it take?
	It should take you about 35 minutes to complete.
	How much does it cost?
	This course is free.
	Will I get a certificate at the end?
	Yes - you will be able to download a certificate after you have completed all the modules and the feedback form.
