This course is general introduction to Health and Safety at work, describing the practical steps you can take to ensure your own health and safety along with that of your colleagues. This module describes the common risks and hazards associated with the working environment and how to avoid them. It also illustrates the main points of good health and safety practice, explaining how every employee has a personal duty of care to him/herself and colleagues.

Please note, that this module focuses on an office environment. If you work in an environment where special rules apply to good health and safety practice, however, you should seek additional training on these.

While this course is based on the UK's Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974, it's contents are relevant everywhere.
