Welcome to INEE Minimum Standards
This module is an introduction to the Standards and how they form the foundation of the education in emergencies sector. The module takes the learner through INEE Minimum Standards and then through INEE’s website and a number of the tools and resources that have been developed using the Standards as the foundation.
The Standards and related tools aim to enhance the quality of educational preparedness, response and recovery, increase access to safe and relevant learning opportunities and ensure accountability in providing these services.
This module is also available in Arabic, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Important Note: This course is based in the INEE Minimum
Standards, 2010 edition, The 2024 edition has been launched and, it is
available on the INEE website at: https://inee.org/minimum-standards

How will I benefit from this course? In October 2020, the INEE launched a Professional Development Competency Framework with the objective of operationalizing the INEE Minimum Standards, harmonizing and professionalizing capacity building for the sector, and improving implementation and practice as part of preparedness, response and recovery.
The learning module aligns with Competency Level 1 of the Education in Emergencies Professional Development Competency Framework related to Humanitarian Standards, by the end of this module, participants will be able to ‘Describe INEE and humanitarian standards and their purpose’.
How long will it take? The module will take approximately 3 hours to complete.
