  Is this course for me?

This course aims to give humanitarians access to information that will support them in delivering training virtually. It will help ensure we all continue to build humanitarian responders’ skills and knowledge to provide a high-quality response in situations where face-to-face training is not possible.

This course is also available in French, Spanish and Arabic.

How will I benefit from this course?

If you are used to delivering workshops and working face to face with your learners, this course will support expanding your training delivery tool kit and incorporate online learning best practices.

The course is divided into sections of roughly equal length, each requiring 10-15 minutes study. We recommend that you study the module in sequence the first time, but after this it is up to you how you revisit the materials. There is benefit in just dipping in and out to reacquaint yourself with concepts, facts, figures and stories at any time.

By completing this module you will be able to:

  • Define what is meant by blended learning
  • Explain the role of a virtual facilitator
  • Identify elements of online learning
  • Create engaging content for online learning
  • Convert existing content into online learning
  • Clarify what makes a good quality learning experience and  transfer this into a virtual setting
