Welcome to Healing Classrooms for Students Affected by Forced Migration: Classroom Management.
This self-paced course introduces educators to the International Rescue Committee’s Healing Classrooms approach to classroom management. Educators will learn strategies to support students affected by forced migration and other traumatic experiences in contexts of resettlement, asylum, and integration.

Is this course for me? Teachers and other in-school and out-of-school time educators and youth development practitioners, supervisors, directors, and administrators will all benefit from this course.

How will I benefit from this course? In this course you will:
- Describe the Healing Classrooms approach and explain the importance of intentional classroom management when working with students affected by forced migration.
- Identify several classroom management strategies that support students affected by forced migration.
Develop an action plan to enhance your own classroom management practices and better engage students affected by forced migration.

How long will it take? The minimum expected time to complete this course is 45 minutes.

How much does it cost? This course is free!

Will I get a certificate at the end? Yes - you will be able to download a certificate once you have have completed all sections of the course, as well as the feedback survey. New Jersey educators who complete and receive a completion certificate may use the hours toward the 100 Professional Development hours required.
