This self-guided course will build your understanding of the Start Fund. A rapid anticipation and response pooled fund, which provides fast, flexible funding to underfunded and overlooked crises. The 4-part course is recommended for any Start Network members who want to access the Global Start Fund.

Is this course for me? The course is for Start Network members and their local partners, in
addition to relevant stakeholders e.g. Academic, scientific, and disaster
management experts. It is a self-guided and self-paced online course.

How will I benefit from this course? On completion of this course, you

How long will it take? The course takes
approximately 2 1/2 hours, and it is divided into 4 units.

How much does it cost? This course is free!

Will I get a certificate and digital badge at the end? Yes, you will be able to
gain a certificate once you have completed all the modules, the feedback form and completed the
post-course quiz. There is an 80% grade to pass and the quiz can be retaken up to three times.
