The LEARNING SHIFT (Scaling up Humanitarian Knowledge Integrating Fun and Technology) through Gamification workshop focussed on the use of game-based techniques and tools to quickly ideate, design and develop tailor-based learning solutions. It used participatory simulation exercises and role-plays. The workshop explored the use of serious games for learning and carrying out complex tasks, like responding to security incidents and executing emergency plans. Organized by the Humanitarian Leadership Academy Philippines, it was facilitated by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO).
The workshop was held on March 28-30, 2017 in Antipolo City. More details are in the course materials.
